REPLAY toy dismantling and sorting campaigns are aimed at everyone who wants to put an end to the millions of toys that end up in landfills or incinerated every year, and wants to give them a new life!
During the 2021 first REPLAY campaign (in the context of the pandemic), we invited families to make positive use of their time at home by immersing themselves in the process of dismantling toys and sorting them by material. The collaboration of everyone has been fundamental, providing an excellent opportunity to develop, together with children, new knowledge about the complexity of the composition of toys, their materials and full life cycle.

Toys are made of many different materials. To ensure their recycling, you will need to disassemble the different parts of the toys according to the materials they are made of: plastic, metal, electronic circuits, batteries, cardboard, rubber, fabric.
It is in this preliminary but essential step that we need you!

During our previous campaign we gladly received the precious help of more than 60 volunteers in the participating municipalities - Figueira de Castelo Rodrigo, Porto, Cascais, Lisbon, Évora. They helped to count all different collected materials, make sure toys were properly dismantled, and took apart the ones that were not!
